Ross Leslie Memorial Prizegiving
Congratulations to all the winners and participants from Saturday’s annual Prizegiving. It is fair to say the Wightman clan had a pretty good night! In honor of the winners, we take a stroll down memory lane to the 1938 edition.
This photo – taken at the original Starter Shack near Dunany Road – is of Edwin Maw, one of DCC’s founding members. The cart beside him is stacked with prizes for the winning golfers – a tradition that continues to today.
Congratulations to Barb Campbell, who won the Parkes Culross Tournament before Black Lake rallied the troops to win the season-ending Five Lakes Tournament.
Congratulations to Chris Vroome, Peter Wright, Eileen Paragis and Maureen Cameron for winning the 3-Club Tournament, which featured 72 golfers and 88 afterward for supper.

Saturday, 10 a.m.: Ladies Closing Meeting
The Ladies Branch Closing Meeting will be held in-person at the Clubhouse. Doors will open from 9:30 a.m. so members can drop in to enjoy some coffee, treats and social time. Looking forward to seeing everyone! -

Recall: The greens crew has started to aerate and punch the greens. We may have to use temporary greens while this work is done. Please be patient as this is an important step to keeping our greens the best in the Laurentians.

Please keep your dogs on leash if walking on the golf course; please note there are coyotes and a Fisher roaming the golf course property. These are potentially dangerous to your pets if they go after these wild animals. Please keep all pets out of the sand traps.
