

Member Code of Conduct
Purpose
Dunany Country Club is committed to providing a respectful, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for all members, guests, and staff. Membership carries a responsibility to uphold the Club’s values of community, sportsmanship, and mutual respect. This Code of Conduct forms part of the Club’s Rules and Regulations, as established by the Board under the By-Laws.
Guiding Principles
Members are expected to:

Treat others with respect and courtesy,

Contribute positively to the culture of the Club

Support an environment where all feel comfortable and safe
Standards
(these standards are intended as guidance and are not exhaustive)
Respectful Behaviour
Members must not engage in harassment, intimidation, threatening behaviour, discrimination, or abusive language whether on or off Club property, where such behaviour may reasonably affect the Club, its members, staff, or its reputation.
Conduct Affecting Others
Members must not engage in behaviour that interferes with another member’s enjoyment of the Club or creates an uncomfortable, hostile, or unsafe environment.
Sportsmanship and Golf Etiquette
Members are expected to:

Play in the spirit of the game and follow the Rules of Golf

Maintain pace of play

Respect the course and facilities

Respect for Staff

Members must treat staff with courtesy and respect.

Concerns regarding staff should be directed to management.

Members must not reprimand or intimidate staff.
Member Responsibility

Members are responsible for the conduct of their guests and for ensuring guests adhere to Club standards.

Members are expected to act as ambassadors of the Club both on and off the property.
Reporting and Enforcement

Members are encouraged to report concerns to the Board or a designated Club representative.

The Club will handle concerns with appropriate discretion and in compliance with the Club’s governing documents including the By-Laws/Rules, Governance Handbook and other policies available to members.

The Board may take action where conduct does not meet these standards, including warning, suspension, or termination of membership.
General Provision
Membership may be reviewed where a member’s conduct does not meet the standards set out in this Code of Conduct, or is otherwise inconsistent with the values or best interests of the Club.
In General
DCC is built on community, goodwill, and shared responsibility. All members share responsibility for maintaining a positive and respectful Club environment.
