Volunteers of the Week

A big thank you to Stan Roy and Don Sutherland for once again leading the weekly Monday Junior lessons, sharing their years of wisdom about the sport and the course with our youngest golfers. They sacrificed much personal time and always showed great patience working with dozens of juniors throughout the summer right up to the season-ending Junior Club Championship.

Upcoming Events

The Dunany Studio Artists will celebrate their 20th anniversary this year by inviting art lovers and community members to their much-anticipated annual exhibition with a show themed around owls, celebrating the mystery, grace, and symbolism of these remarkable creatures. Each artist will present a vibrant collection of new works plus their own unique interpretation of the owl — from whimsical forest scenes to striking portraits that capture the bird’s soulful, penetrating gaze.

Artists include Maureen Cameron, Lyne Chouinard, Lois Finch, Judy Hammond, Marion McGill Hodge, Julie Huguet, Angela Macleod, Ginette Masson, Joanne Moore, Jane Pilon, Caroline Roy, Revilla Sauvé, Barbara McCullough Scales, Nora Valantin and Annabelle Wood. Each visitor will receive a free ticket for a draw for 15 original (5"x7”) watercolors. Some lucky attendee could win the whole collection!

Saturday, August 22: Championship Dinner
We'll be celebrating yet another fantastic golf season with the help of the Armstrong-Azaria-Minty families, who are preparing a filet mignon feast for this year's Championship Dinner. It is not to be missed! The sign-up sheet will be emailed to all members on Thursday (Aug. 13) at 10 a.m. Please note that only members can sign up for the first 48 hours, guests can be signed up as of 10 a.m. on Saturday (Aug. 15). Any guests on the sheet before this time will be removed. Thank you for your cooperation.

Friday, August 28: Performance series - Nils Brown & band
Nils Brown & band are back to light up the stage as part of the latest chapter of the 2026 Performance Series. Cost is $20 for members and $25 for guests, jump in early on the sign‑up sheet  to lock in your spot. A tasty food offering (with its own sign‑up) will fuel the 5 à 7 pre‑show. More details will roll out in the coming weeks as we coordinate with our amazing volunteers.

Friday, September 4: Performance series - Guy Bélanger
Guy Bélanger, the current Canadian Maple Blues Harmonica Player of the Year, has been electrifying festival stages all summer and will be making a special stop at the Clubhouse. This not‑to‑be‑missed event will close out the 2026 Dunany Performance Series with style, flair, and truly world‑class musicianship. Cost id $25 for members and $30 for guests. Members are reminded that the DCC Clubhouse Bar closes at 1 a.m. The bell is rung and last drinks should be ordered by 12:45 a.m. Thank you for respecting our operating hours and making life much easier for our volunteers!

• Did you win a trophy in 2025? Time to say goodbye and bring it to the Starter Shack so it can be prepared for this year’s champion at Prizegiving.
