Dunany Green Day / Spring Cleanup

A big thank you to all who turned up on Saturday for the Spring Course Cleanup, the first in-person volunteer gathering of the 2026 season.

Nearly 20 members turned up for duty on a gorgeous day, walking the course to clear the fairways of debris. Our volunteers’ on-course efforts received top marks from our greens crew, particularly in the aftermath of Hydro Quebec’s winter tree cutting.

Fellow member Vincent Dumais spent two days in advance of the cleanup targeting this mess, bringing all the branches and debris down off the hill and into the parking lot to leave tonnes of organic material for our Cleanup Day volunteers. While some members cleared the course, a crew of five remained behind to clear the parking lots with the invaluable assistance of Robert Percy and his big blue tractor. Thank you one and all!

Reminder: there is another Cleanup Day – the annual Green Day – scheduled for this Sunday (May 17) from 1 p.m. It is a great way to help the crew, volunteer for your club and reconnect with your fellow members after the winter hiatus. Please come out to help clean up around the Starter Shack, along Dunany Road, and around the clubhouse area and gardens. Bring a rake, work gloves and whatever else you can think you might need.

Look forward to seeing you there!

The Final Countdown

A reminder the course is open for the new season from Friday (May 15) at 8 a.m. Please book all tee times through Chronogolf. Also, please note the electric golf carts will be unavailable for the first two weeks.

The Starter Shack will open for the season on Saturday, May 16, with a weekend-only schedule of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. until regular full-time hours start on Monday, June 22.

Enjoy your season!

AGM

Dunany Country Club’s opening Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Saturday, May 30 at 10 a.m. and is open to all members. We will share a Zoom/online link prior so members can attend the meeting virtually.

Updated Governance

With the new golf season upon us, the Board of Directors has been working hard to update the club’s Governance page. We invite members to consult this handy resource on our website, which spells out many of the key elements that guide our club. This includes several elements, from club bylaws to Alcohol and Harassment Policies, to an updated Member Code of Conduct. Please login to the DCC website and click on the Governance tab to consult them.

Membership Dues

We remind all members they can find their charges for the 2026 season in Chronogolf, by logging into My Account and clicking on the House Accounts tab (along the left side).

Payments can be made by cheque or via Interac e-transfer by using the email address: dccpayable@gmail.com

Women’s Invitational: Honouring the Past, Inspiring the Future

This year’s event, hosted by Curran Lake, introduces a new format featuring a Friday afternoon shotgun start, followed by cocktails, dinner, music and more!

The tournament will be a fun team scramble featuring both low net score and performance points, keeping the focus on friendly competition, laughter, and great golf.

We hope this new approach will encourage even greater participation from across our membership and create a wonderful summer evening celebrating women’s golf and friendship.

Save the date: Friday, July 17, 2026. More details (and the sign-up sheet) coming soon!
